I knew I'd taken a lot of photos in America but I didn't think it would take me this long to go through them. I'm about halfway through the initial pass of storing and ditching; it may take quite a while longer yet before I get as far as playing around and seeing what I can do with the ones I'm keeping.
Anyway, before I get to the New York photos – where I went a little street happy (hoorah!) – I felt the urge to process at least one of the pictures kept so far and this is it: a father carrying his daughter (I'm guessing) after the holiday parade in Reston, Virginia on the day after Thanksgiving. Not a lot here; just a few enhancements to bring out some details, adjust for the contrast of the light and shade, and then warm it up a bit with a filter since it seemed a trifle chilly.
