Yin Yang
I don't know why I found myself drawn to the guy in the white top; it was probably the intense concentration on his phone and complete obliviousness to the world around him. As such, I felt comfortable taking my time to line up a shot on him. And very luckily too, as just as I depressed the button to take the shot my target's doppelgänger from the mirror universe popped into existence. I had a moment of mixed emotions – joy at witnessing and capturing the rare event as well as confusion trying to work out which was the evil twin – but it was, sadly, fleeting as the two men came into shocked contact with one another, their oppositely-charged component atoms annihilating one another in a frightening matter-antimatter explosion larger than any recorded in Chichester this past year. A fortuitous happenstance that I was using the telephoto lens today otherwise I might have been singed. Google+: View post on...

The Claw

Canalside
I actually took a photo last week with the intention of submitting it for #LeadingLinesMonday curated by +Jakob Nilsson, +Pam Chalkley, and +CJ Sros. That's forward thinking! I've actually remembered to submit it too. That's pretty impressive for a Monday, all things considered. I think I need a lie down now. Google+: View post on...
Hong Kong Girls
Chance of me stepping foot outside in the wind and rain today is currently hovering around the zero mark so I thought I'd have a hunt back through some old photos from four years ago and play around with them. This is a shot on the streets of Hong Kong, taken with my 350D, and it was the first morning using a wide angle lens (Tamron f/4 12-24mm purchased in the market at midnight the night before) so I was enjoying the fun of getting close, shooting from the hip, and still getting loads of features in the picture. I hadn't quite mastered the art of holding my camera level at this point and, to be fair, I still haven't. When I originally uploaded this many years ago I'd cropped out the girl on the right. I'll bet I had a reason for that then but I've no idea what it was. Google+: View post on...
