Power Friday

Power Friday

It's the inaugural #PowerFriday theme curated by +Natosha Davis and I didn't really have a chance to take anything for it specifically today but decided it wouldn't hurt to dive back through the archives and find something that counted just so I could take part. This was shot in the car park of a nearby DIY store just after sunset back in October. Google+: View post on...

Old Man And Bike

Old Man And Bike

I've decided to call this photo "Old Man And Bike" on account of it featuring an old man and a bike. If you look towards the centre of the picture you might see the old man and the bike to which I'm referring. It had rained all morning, hence the dark, light-reflecting flagstones of the precinct. It was also cold and parts of the precinct were cordoned off while policemen and glaziers were overseeing the boarding up of windows of two of the jewellers that had had their glass fronts smashed in overnight so there wasn't a great deal to see today; apparently, the robbery culprits were apprehended, or so I understand. M Window

Mr Porridge Head

The last shot I took today was one I spotted out of the corner of my eye as I walked past a café on the way back to the office; it took my mind a couple of seconds to realise the potential of the sign for fresh porridge and I had to backtrack along the road to get the positioning just right for this. Lunchtime Portrait

This lunchtime as I settled in under Chichester Cross I was called out to by a woman who, along with two male companions, appeared to be – but may not have been – homeless and/or – let's say – someone not averse to partaking in illegal means of achieving highs and lows. May not have been, I'm reiterating, but, well, you sometimes just get a hunch. This woman wanted to know what I was doing. I told her I was taking photos. What of? Things, people, I answered. People? She seemed puzzled and wanted to know why. I told her that people were interesting and tried to take a picture of her; she held up a hand in the way and told me that was weird. I told her that weird was interesting and she seemed to shrug and accept that. And then she let down her guard and I took this shot. She didn't seem bothered. I'd like to think that she wasn't making a gun symbol with her hand for me. Submitted for #PortraitTuesday curated by +Laura Balc. Google+: View post on...

Honeycomb

Obviously, it's not really honeycomb, unless the Borg aren't particularly fussy about the species they assimilate. But what is it? Well, one thing it is for certain is a submission for #RepetitiveTuesday curated by +Frank Schillinger. Google+: View post on...
