While waiting to cross one of New York's streets – and not wanting to risk crossing until the sign told us it was safe as it was ever going to get – this man wandered up with his wheeled box and then proceeded to simply stand right there on the pedestrian crossing staring off into the distance. Obligatory New York City Taxi Photograph

When you visit New York City you have to take a photo of a taxi cab. You have to. It's actually a local law. And you don't want to break it. They throw people off the Brooklyn Bridge for less. Chase The Jogger

I've finally started looking at the shots in New York during daylight hours and one of the first I came across had one of those little "ah!" moments in it. I took the photo at the time simply because there was a jogger tentatively trying to cross the road and she formed a point of interest. It's only now that I look at the picture in a bit more detail that I see the Chase building behind her and realise it's possible to work that happy little coincidence into the title in a way that makes it look planned.
