Project 365 – Week Twenty-One
Week twenty-one of the Photo Every Day project features photos that include my step-niece Sadé, flowers, and a Martian. Not all at the same time. And that’s pretty much all there is to say about...
Project 365 – Week Twenty
Week twenty has concluded in my Photo Every Day project. It was the week that started with the Eurovision Song Contest and disappointment for my personal favourites Moldova. It was also the first full week I spent at work in probably over a month. Bank holidays and family deaths do tend to interfere with plans...
Project 365 – Week Nineteen
Week nineteen of my Photo Every Day project is the week in which we had the funeral and cremation of my mum. Some of the pictures are a little dark, therefore, partly because the subject matter warrants it and partly because there’s been a fair bit of alcohol downed this week and a lot of last-minute “ah, crap, I’ve forgotten to take a picture, oh, bugger it, that’ll do!” moments. It’s the hallmark of a great photographer. In my...
Custom Doodles
Do you like custom doodles (or drawings, or scribblings, or sketches, or, well, go look through a thesaurus your damned self) or do you know someone who might like one for a birthday or a bat mitzvah or a dentist’s appointment or a Thursday (I’m not really up to speed with what people celebrate these days)? And, of course, these would be unique drawings (because that’s pretty much what “custom” implies) which means there’s every chance that they could be worth a lot on Antiques Roadshow A.D. 2525. Anything is possible in my mind. What you’re looking at there is a doodle by Claire of Claire for Claire’s new little enterprise, The Doodologist. She will do commissioned works for you, for any occasion you’d like, guaranteed to be awesome, and if you mention that you discovered her excellent artistic skills through this site you’ll only be charged triple. Go and be impressed with her gallery on the site or the artistry on her Flickr Doodle Projects. Go....
Project 365 – Week Eighteen
These are the photos taken during the eighteenth week of my Photo Every Day project, one of those picture-taking exercises designed to get me out and about and just using the camera more. This week saw me attempt to clean my camera sensor with hilarious results! And I’m using that word wrongly there. You can see how dirty it was in the first picture. Just so we know: it’s not much better...
Project 365 – Week Seventeen
Week seventeen of the Photo Every Day project culminated in the royal wedding of William and Kate, a bit of a difference from the previous week and a busy one for my family as we ran around like mad things trying to organise for our own civil ceremony of a decidedly different kind. But there I am being all maudlin again. Ignore my maudlinity, assuming maudlinity is an actual word and a thing that can ignored. Why not take a look at some pictures...
