Today’s Doodle Week II sees a venture away from the terrifying trauma of the bug and well away from the stressful tension of a space trip fraught with space danger.
Today’s theme is Doodle Garden.

It’s a fricking Zen Garden in case you’re thinking I’ve gone all abstract and arty and symbolic. I haven’t. I decided to touch upon the inner peace that a Zen Garden brings as you comb around the rocks and think "I don’t have to remember to water this thing! That’s awesome! And no weeds! Sweet!"
That, and my green pencil was broken and I couldn’t be arsed to go and sharpen it.

I want a garden like this. I think when Mr. Aerten designs our new house, I’ll mention we need a Japanese Rock Garden… near the porch where I will hang large, perfectly tuned wind chimes.

Nice idea. Rock Gardens are so soothing. Even on the web just looking at the ones at the temple in Kyoto can calm you down.

LOL!! Your green pencil was broken. My Dad did a Zen garden once, but quickly discovered he prefers vegetables and flowers.

Love the doodle. My mind didn’t get past flowers when I was thinking garden, so I find this very refreshing. As for the zen part, if it gave you any inner peace to draw the doodle, I think it was gone by the time you wrote the post. "Fricking" indeed. 🙂

Lazy bugger 🙂

Beautiful idea! I love how cool it looks and the blue rocks. Very nice doodle.

I thought it was wood at first. Wood with giant blue rocks plunged in it. I thought ‘what a freaky garden he has’ …

A Zen garden was a good idea, even if you were just too lazy to sharpen the green. I bought a whole new box of Crayola markers, 64 of them in the box. The Garden Green marker is a dud, no ink in it. Figures it would be that one only.

For a moment, I thought it was a big fingerprint.

I like your dry sense of humour and I look forward to reading more of your blog. But, I must disagree with your comments on your doodle. You’re definitely ‘arty’. I will definitely be returning here… I love the super-organised layout.

Oh, at first glance, I thought it was more outer space… but now, hand me the rake and we can haiku outta here!
