So, how many references to the phrase nearing the end can I work into this picture?
Well, she's nearing the end of the bench for starters. Actually, she's right at the end to be brutally honest since going further involves a temporary suspension of the forces that bind the component atoms of the old lady and the wooden bench, and mankind just isn't ready for my demolecularisation suppository yet.
Secondly, she's nearing the end of the book. Unless it's a Manga novel and she's reading it backwards. She didn't look like a Manga fan, though. Were you to press me on the subject then I freely admit I couldn't describe one, however any attempt to do so would be as far removed from the person photographed as possible.
And finally, she's old too so – though it pains me to say it – there's a very obvious nearing the end taking place barring the release of my patented immortality suppositories. But no, I think there's a lot of growing up for humanity to do before those little beauties see the light of day. So to speak.

wow, great one!

Judging by the position of her cart, I venture she's at the end of her energy stores to push past the end of the path at the end of another typically brutal day that brought more memories than brilliant ideas to mind …

I think she's obviously at the end of her attention span, too, 'cause I think she may be napping… 🙂

Do they have to be suppositories?

Not to be critical (the picture is great), but if the bench had been centered in frame it really would have amplified the underlying theme.

I do hope you are writing a book, because I would buy it.

+Mark Tyler Of course not; I'm working on a cystoscopic delivery method just for men who are a little bit squeamish of the alternative.
+Kirkda Khan Sadly, had the bench been centred then the ninja just out of the frame currently would have been a distraction to what I was trying to convey.
+Clare Cosgrove I wouldn't have thought there was a big demand for suppository-related coffee table books, but if there's a need then I suppose (free pun) I could be the man to deliver it.

Get writing…putting together and published!!

fantastic shot Mark. Sitting at the end of a bench is the most strategic place…..look at her…she's sitting comfortable and nobody will fall over her trolley.
